Should have waited for 2019 now prices for 4k will be going down 😅. Can An IPad Pro Of 2018 Replace Your Laptop !!??
Even though when the first Gen IPad was introduced by Steve Job he stated that IPads are not meant to replace IPad. Most of the people who use IPad does it only for its entertainment purposes, not for content creation or editing. With the release of Appl'es new Ipad Pro Apple's SEO Tim Cook said that the company has built the new IPad pro with an aim to take over laptop market But will Ipad Pro really is able to take over Laptop's space in our backpack!!??? It's time to find out.
Design
First things first the new Apple IPad Pro hold a lot of changes in the department of Design. Now the edges are square instead of curved ones which make it feel boxier then the previous version and also if you are using it for a while your hands could feel a little pain cause of the edges. Apple has cut down an inch from forehead and chin which makes helps the screen make 85% of the screen to body ratio bezels are still there but the IPad pro feels like a tablet of 2018. Apple has also reduced the thickness from 6.1 mm to 5,9 mm it's not a big difference but it's there. The 11 inch IPad pro weighs 468 grams and 12.9 inch weighs 633 inches this may seem a little heavy to you but weight distribution is so good that you can balance the IPad pro on your single finger (I highly request not to do that).
The camera comes with a bump but it won't create any issues while lying flat on the table top. Apple has made the two version quite the same in the department of screen size a 10.5 Inch version hold a screen of 11 inches and 12.9-inch version also carries 11-inch screen in its chassis making screen size almost similar. There are no awkward antenna lines now like the previous versions have. The 2018 IPad Pro comes only in two color variants silver and Space grey.
Now let's focus on the screen which indeed is quite magnificent in its own perspective. The New Apple IPad Pro comes with Liquid Retina Display which has 2388 x 1668, 120Hz, 600 nits, True Tone, LCD for 11 Inch model and 2732 x 2048, 120Hz, 600 nits, True Tone, LCD for 12.9 Inch model. Apple claims that these are the most color accurate screen they have ever produced and we can use it as a platform for our daily photo and video editing. The liquid retina used in IPad Pro comes with backlight design and carries the same number of a pixel density of the IPad Pro 2017 iteration but still, the screen of IPad pro offers the same level of anti-aliasing and pixel masking which we get in I-Phone XR.
Apple in their conference shocked many people stating that their new in-house custom made 7-core graphics processor is able to stand side by side with XBOX one S Graphic Chip. The new A12X chip is 3 Times more powerful then it's previous version A10x also the A12x CPU chip comes with Neural Engine in both IPad pro models which helped Apple in cramping up the storage all the way up to 1 terabyte (TB) without sacrificing any Read and Write performance. The new IPad Pro has dropped the lightning port in exchange of USB-C type which allows the screen to mirror on a 5K resolution monitors without facing any issue while charging the IPad's battery. Even though battery could last for 12 hrs if not used extensively but in terms of heavy usage, battery lasts only for 6-7 hours.
The second attachment you can buy is a smart Keyboard folio which attaches itself from the back of the IPad pro magnetically. The Keyboard gives front and back protection while giving the full-size keyboard to a user. It connects wirelessly through a smart connector which provides all the power and the data transfer. Smart Keyboard folio costs 179$/₹12,738 Rs. Also, you can't connect any type of mouse with 2018 IPad Pro.

Hardware and Performance
Apple has revamped the whole hardware from the processor to GPU everything is now more powerful and battery efficient. 12.9-inch IPad Pro share almost the same hardware configuration of 11-inch IPad pro with the exception of battery and screen resolution.
Features and Attachments
Like every other Apple product, the new Apple IPad Pro 2018 follows the trend of replacing the home button with touch gestures and FaceID. Apple has been able to put four speakers in IPad Pro's chassis making audio loud and clear. The IPad Pro contains two camera a12Mp rear-facing camera, with f/1,8 which can also shoot videos up to 4K video and also has slow-motion video recording at 240fps. The secondary front-facing camera is of 7Mp which shoots video at the 1080p video it also contains 'Retina Flash' feature and Bokeh Mode both12.9 inch model and 11-inch model have exactly the same camera configuration. Both models support Nano Sim or E-sim. Both IPad pro model uses Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connectivity. Sadly there is no headphone jack present in both IPads but we were kind of expecting this from Apple. New IPad pro 11 inch and 12.9 runs Ios 12 as their operating system.
Now let's talk about the attachment which can be used to enhance the user experience. First up we have the whole new Apple Pencil 2 which can only be used with third generation IPad of 11 inches and 12.9 inches. The Apple Pencil 2 comes with the wireless charging and it can charge itself up from the Ipad this change was certainly required cause previous version of Pencil uses the lightning port to charge and while charging you can't hold the IPad cause of the awkward position of Pencil. Pencil 2 uses magnets to hold the position of charging on 2018 IPad pro. You can only stick the pencil at one particular side of the IPad Pro. Its quite lightweight and can be useful in different applications. Pencil 2 comes with a button which you can tap or double tap to change tools in Apps. The new Apple's Pencil 2 cost $129/ ₹ 9177 Rs.

Verdict
Apple's 2018 IPad Pro does really well in all the categories whether it's the screen department or CPU's sheer performance Apple as always nailed each and every aspect of the new IPad pro you can't help yourself but fall in its spell but I still think IPad is far off in taking the Laptop space. Yeah!! its portable yes it is powerful but not as powerful as 2018 notebooks, it lacks that proper feel which you can only get from using a laptop. If you put the IPad Pro in your backpack your bag will almost feel like empty because of this I'll definitely recommend it cause its the best hardware for light photo and video editing on the go.
My final verdict of new 2018 Apple IPad Pro is 8.5 out 10.
